The Basics of a Wine Rack Lattice Wood

More than just being able to store a wine bottle the proper way, a lattice wood wine rack is also a great eye catcher that provides a fantastic look to any home, restaurant or bar.

First off, wine bottles should be stored on their sides, especially if they are for display and are not going to be drunk just yet. This is because the sediment in the wine will eventually float down to rest at the bottom. If they gather at the foot of the bottle, this will greatly affect the taste of the wine. Being on its side would still allow the sediments to be spread evenly.

Lattice wood is a crisscrossing of thin wood boards that forms diamond centers where a wine bottle may be placed. There are two boards used, one where the neck of the bottle rests and another behind it where the broad end of the bottle is supported.

These wine racks come in different sizes and their price varies depending on how big it is and the type of wood used. The bigger the wine racks, the more bottles of wine they are able to hold. You may find lattice wine racks in a oak, maple, redwood, or any of a variety of woods. Also your wine rack may have a frame or it might not.

Check out the internet to see the numerous types and designs of wine racks of lattice wood that are available. Compare size, price, and style before making the decision which one would be best for your home.
